Follow Rule & Regulations before Start Your Business

Definitely, Catering business has lots of fun and entertainment for people who are interest to start this business, but it also has some complications as other businesses. And all type of businesses are required followed some rules and regulations. But in case of any business deal with food or in catering business, there are two major regulations are present which must be require to follow before start your catering business, such as: according to the 1st regulation that (EC) No.852/2004on hygiene foods and preparation and according to the 2nd that Food Hygiene Regulations 2006. Both types of regulations are the basic requirement for starting the catering business.  And according to the both regulation you must keep your food preparation place clean and concise and you also must provide hygienic environment to your staffs.

If you already decided to start your own catering business, then at local authority you must register your premises with environmental health service. When you are going to apply premises with environmental health service, that time you must be careful about presentation of clean and clear premises with good condition. Then you also careful about the practices in hygiene condition and especially in pest control.  If you are hiring professional staffs for your business, then you should provide facilities on toilet and hand washing to them.  You must provide so many other facilities to which they required at food preparation and serving time, such as: equipments for preparing the food, separate places for cleaning foods and equipments, ventilation and lighting facilities, tables, table- clothes, bowels, trays, plates spoons and so many other required stuffs.

 Another important factor is your kitchen or food preparation place: you must provide suitable place to them for food preparing, such as: windows, doors, ceilings, floor and worktops which should be durable, washable and smooth to maintain clean and clear. When you are going to market for buying required equipments for your kitchen, then you must keep in mind that these equipments will require for your business. So always prefer to buy simple and large size equipments which can easily wash and maintain it easily. It also required washing your all equipments daily before and after preparing the food. 

In kitchen or food preparation area, it is necessary to dispatch all the garbage or waste stuffs. If you don’t do it, then it affects on your food preparation with also on business. Then the next step is maintaining the health and safety arrangements for your staffs. It is also necessary to keep written health document about the each employee. For which you can easily handle all the probable problems about health and safety matter of staffs, when it will arise. Then another probable problem is fire risk, so that before start your own catering business you must consult with your local fire authority. If any problem arisen regarding the fire, then the fire authority help you, your staffs, necessary equipments and to customers also.

Some people always are having interest to hire professional staffs than non professional for their catering business. And if you are belonging among those people, then before hire any professional staffs first you should be ensure about his/her qualifications, experiences and education certificates. For which you don’t get any major problem to face. It is true that if you hire professional staff, then it isn’t necessary for you to provide them any training regarding your business rule but if you are going to hire any non professional staff, then you must provide them proper training about your business rules and regulations which is so time taking. So that if it is possible, you must try to hire any professional staffs for your catering business. Now in so many companies and offices people are taking interest for getting catering service and it’s major reason is saving time and now catering service become so cost affordable. If you are getting any contract from company or office, then it becomes better chance for you to establish your business in market easily. So that you must give careful about your food preparation with delivering service and you always try to deliver fresh food to your customer. When you are getting this catering contract, then you must maintain written contract between you and your customer. If you don’t maintain it, then may be you are cheated by your customer which can badly affect your business.

After following all these given rules and regulation you can win in this catering business sector which has both complication and lots of fun for you and especially if you are beginner in this business.
